The fishing has really picked up! Walleye and Crappie have been in pretty good numbers and the sizes have been great also. Walleye have been caught on jig and a minnow and the crappie are also being caught on minnows or tube jigs. Over the next couple of weeks I have plenty of availability. With the warmer weather coming we can only think about spring Walleye and Crappie fishing. I have been booking some trips over the last month and I can’t wait to get the boat out. Tomorrow I’m filming another segment of Fishing the Midwest Bob Jensen. We will be targeting Crappie and Yellow Bass on Clear Lake. I just want to say thank you to everyone for all the support its much appreciated. Fishing over the last few days has been good. East Lake was great on Saturday Morning we caught Perch and Yellows and after 11 am we moved to Minni. for some more panfish action. I did get out on Clear today and the Yellows and Crappie are still going good. The Yellows are on Fire!! 
We do all kinds of trips big or small. The 2015 open water season is getting closer everyday and April – June is prime time for Walleye and Crappie. Please call for special prices on large groups. The fishing over the last few days have been cold but the fishing has been very good. Okoboji is kicking out some nice limits of Perch and Clear and Crystal are doing well with Crappie Gills and Yellows. Clear has been best in 16 to 24 fow small jigs with pink plastics has been best. Okoboji Waxies and spikes have been good in 18 to 24 fow. The ice on is 8 to 12 across north iowa.
Things on Clear are still steady. We have been picking up some nice panfish with a walleye or two mixed in. The Yellows are being caught in 3 to 6 ft in the little lake and the Crappie are starting to make there move to the winter holes. The Muskie fishing has been fair. We have been boating around 1 or 2 per trip.
ICE FISHING!
Its time to start looking at or booking your 2015 ice fishing trip! We have been taking many calls about ice fishing and people have started to book. If your looking at doing a weekend trip this year you should call sooner than later. If your looking at a weekday trip you still have some time yet. This year is going to be a blast!
Things over the last few days have been awesome! We are still pulling a few Muskie and we also got into a cain pole bite. On the long sticks we have been catching Yellows and Gills. We have also been getting a few Walleyes on Cranks. If your looking for a day of mixed fishing, now is the time. Pictured is Kade (12yrs old) releasing his first Muskie ever. This was one of the most memorable fish I have ever had in the boat. This young man casted for 7 hours and during the last 30 minutes of fishing time he hooked and landed this nice mid 30 inch fish. Kade you are a stud on the water and Im so happy to have put the Muskie fishing in your blood. You remind me of my self when I was your age. Just remember what ever you choose to do in live just stick to it and it will happen.
The Last couple days have been great Muskie fishing. This year has blessed us with some great fish. The best part of my fully guided trips are that I will show and teach you exactly how to put one of these in the boat. The top photo is Dan and his 1st ever Muskie!!!!
The Yellow Bass fishing is starting to pick up. If we put a little work into it I think we could boat a pile of them. (100Plus) The Muskie fishing is also great. Most trips are landing at least one and some are getting multiple opportunities to put some nice fish in the boat. Mike and His Father Bob (75yr old) both picked up a nice fish on Sunday Night. September should be lights out Yellow Bass fishing and we do have some weekend spots available.
We have had a great July. The Panfishing has been great on West O. and during those trips we get a few Large Mouth and some Small Mouth mixed in. Crystal Lake is still good with an occasional Walleye mixed in. Its now Muskie season on Clear Lake and they have started to heat up. We are still getting a couple eyes on Clear also but its not crazy good. I’ve posted some pics of some Huge Yellow Bass, some are pushing 12 inches. Iowa Master angler is 10in.
At least with all these storms we are still landing some great fish! Muskies love crazy weather and that’s one thing that we have had a lot of. Chris popped his and then his friend landed her fish 3 cast later. Nice job guys! Thanks again!
